Getting Old

So in my current life I've come accustomed to being one of the youngest people when I go out with my friends. It's usually the big joke that I'm so young, and there's always a laugh when I get carded. I used to be annoyed or embarrassed by it, recently though I thought that it was pretty cool that I would be 30 and still getting carded every time I went out. Sadly folks that ship has sailed.....I know you probably are not as sad about this as I am. My only real issue is that I must now look old! I knew I didn't feel that young but it wasn't horrible feeling like they thought I was 21. About a month ago Jeremy and I met friends at a bar, and from the moment I walked in I couldn't wait to leave. It was loud, in the annoying have to scream to be heard across the table sorta way. It was crowded, in a way that the guys next to us spilled 3 drinks (and weren't that drunk). Mainly though it felt like a meat market. The girls were too dressed up for the type of bar it was, the guys were gathered at the door checking out everyone that walked in. Needless to say we didn't last long. The saddest part of the night was realizing just how old we all felt. We walked to the restaurant next door to the bar and we were so excited that it was dead. We sat enjoyed our meal, had a cocktail, then all jumped in the car. Trying to debate if we should go get a drink at a different bar, knowing we all had to be up in the morning with kids, we checked the time....It was barely 9pm!!!!  Wow did we feel old. So since it's official I thought I'd make sure everyone knew, I'm old. :)

My old self and my beautifully bald man on our most recent date! :)
