8 Inches of Joy!

Ok get your mind out of the gutter! Oh wait was that just me? :) Who knew that eight inches of hair could make such a difference in the world.

This is me a week ago. I had gotten fond of my long hair but with the heat that has rolled into Sacramento cutting it was not a hard thing to do.

This is me now! I chopped it off and have sent it away to make a lovely wig for someone going through something much worse then me.  A friend of mine was hosting a hair cutting event at her kids school. Some of the students had volunteered to cut their hair at the event, with all the hair being sent to Pantene Beautiful Lengths to have wigs made for cancer patients. There were twenty five students, teachers, and parents who donated their hair. It was beautiful! It was beautiful to see the excitement on the little girls faces when they were standing holding the ponytail that had just been cut. It was beautiful to see the entire student body standing out in the cold (it happened to rain that day) cheering as every ponytail was cut off. It was beautiful.  I can't say that this event was because of Jeremy, but being there sharing in their joy made my heart smile. Along with these cuts I know of five other women who have now cut their hair because of Jeremy's story.  Amazing! It's crazy to know that the little effect we had on these women, who did something bigger and took the time and energy to cut their hair, is going to change someone else's life. Little things can make a big difference. Thank you, all of you!
